Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information our aquariums collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It applies to Austin Aquarium, Houston Interactive Aquarium & Animal Preserve, and San Antonio Aquarium, and to the websites and ordering pages we operate for those venues.

Who we are

Each of our aquariums is operated by its own Texas company, listed with that venue's contact details at the bottom of this page. A concessions order is placed with, and payment is processed for, the venue you are visiting. The order-ready text messages described below are sent by AUSTIN AQUARIUM, LLC, a Limited Liability Company, which is the business registered with mobile carriers for those messages.

Information we collect

We only collect what we need to complete the thing you asked us to do.

Text messages about your order

Order-ready texts are offered at Austin Aquarium only. Our other locations do not send order-ready texts; there, staff call your order number at the counter.

If you order food or drinks at a location that does send them, we use your mobile number for one purpose: to tell you that your order is ready to pick up.

How we use your information

We use what we collect to take and fulfill your order, to send the order-ready text described above, to process payments and refunds, to respond to you when you contact us, and to meet our legal, accounting, and tax obligations.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the service providers we need to run the business, and only so they can perform that service for us:

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our guests, staff, and animals. We do not sell your personal information.

How long we keep it

We keep order and booking records, including the mobile number attached to an order, for as long as we need them as business and tax records. We do not currently delete them on a fixed schedule. If you want your information removed, contact the venue below and we will remove it where we are not required to keep it.

Your choices

Children

Our websites and ordering pages are meant to be used by adults buying admission, food, or events for their families. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
