Terms of Service
Last updated: October 10, 2026
These terms cover your use of the websites and ordering pages we operate for Austin Aquarium, Houston Interactive Aquarium & Animal Preserve, and San Antonio Aquarium. By buying admission, booking an event, or placing a concessions order through our site, you agree to these terms.
Who we are
Each of our aquariums is operated by its own Texas company, listed with that venue's contact details at the bottom of this page. A concessions order is placed with, and payment is processed for, the venue you are visiting. The order-ready text messages described below are sent by AUSTIN AQUARIUM, LLC, a Limited Liability Company, which is the business registered with mobile carriers for those messages.
AUSTIN AQUARIUM, LLC
12515 Cedar Street, Austin, Texas 78732
Ordering food and drinks
- You order from a venue's concessions page, usually by scanning a QR code posted at the concession counter, and pay by card before the order is sent to the kitchen.
- Prices shown on the ordering page are the prices we charge. We may change the menu or prices, and items sometimes run out.
- Orders are prepared for pickup at the counter inside the venue. We do not deliver.
- Please pick your order up promptly once it is ready. Food left at the counter may be discarded for food-safety reasons.
Order-ready text messages
Order-ready texts are offered at Austin Aquarium only. At our other locations staff call your order number at the counter instead.
Where they are offered, entering your mobile number on the order form and placing the order means you agree to receive one automated text message at that number telling you the order is ready for pickup.
- One message per order (re-sent only if our messaging provider does not accept it). We do not send marketing or recurring texts.
- Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
- Reply STOP to opt out, or HELP for help.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- If you opt out, we cannot text you when your order is ready. You can still watch the order status page or ask at the counter.
How we handle your number is described in our Privacy Policy.
Payments and refunds
- Card payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card number.
- If we cannot fulfill a concessions order, venue management can cancel it and refund the card that paid.
- Refunds go back to the original payment method. Timing after we issue the refund depends on your bank.
- Admission, event, and booking purchases are governed by the terms shown at the time of that purchase.
Season pass auto-renewal
If you choose Renew my pass automatically each year when you buy a season pass, or turn it on later from your member page, these terms apply in addition to the rest of this page.
- What you pay. Each pass is charged at the season pass price, plus a USDA fee per pass where your subscription includes one, plus a 3% card processing fee, plus sales tax. San Antonio Aquarium no longer includes a USDA fee in new auto-renew subscriptions. The amounts for your venue are shown next to the renewal checkbox before you pay and again in your confirmation email. Your season pass price and any USDA fee stay the same at every renewal for as long as you keep the subscription; the 3% card processing fee and sales tax are calculated again on each charge.
- When it renews. Your card is charged once a year, and the pass is renewed, until you cancel. Your 365 days start the first time your pass is scanned at the gate or checked in by our staff, not on the day you pay, and the next renewal is due 365 days after that first use.
- Reminder. We ask our payment provider to email you about 30 days before each renewal.
- How to cancel. Sign in at /member, find the order under Season orders, and choose Turn off auto-renew. Your pass stays valid until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you will not be charged again. You can turn auto-renew back on from the same place while the pass is still valid.
- Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, your pass ends on its normal date; there is no grace period. If our payment provider's retry later succeeds, the pass is renewed, but the days it had ended are not added back.
- Refunds and chargebacks. A refund or a card dispute on an auto-renew payment cancels the subscription, so you will not be charged again. A dispute, a refund of a renewal payment, or a refund of your whole first payment also ends the pass that payment covered.
- Questions. Contact the venue by email using the details at the bottom of this page.
Using our sites properly
Please do not attempt to break, overload, scrape, or gain unauthorized access to our sites or systems, and do not place orders you do not intend to pay for or pick up. We may refuse service, cancel an order, or block access if we believe our systems or our guests are being abused.
Venue rules
While you are on site you also need to follow the posted venue rules and staff instructions, which exist to keep guests, staff, and our animals safe.
Availability
We try to keep the ordering pages working, but we do not promise they will always be available or error-free. Ordering may be unavailable while a venue is closed or during maintenance.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we will update the date at the top of this page.
